Stupid Mouse Problem

For some reason, when i am scrolling through a webpage, or anything.....i have to turn the mouse wheel 1 extra time before it will take affect.....and reversing directions does the same thing. Normally I would'nt think anything of it, but sometimes it doesnt do that. It acts perfectly fine.....I looked through the program I got with the mouse (Microsoft Intellimouse Wireless) and thers no option for this....

Any ideas?

Sounds like a physical defect with the mouse more than a driver/software related problem. Not sure if you can see or take the mouse apart, but is there any crumbs or rubbish stuck in your mouse possibly blocking it or something? If you've got pressurised air you can blow it out.
