I suggest a pentium II mmx, 16mb ram and a voodoo 2 should run far cry great.

I have AMD AThlon xp 2700 en 1 Gig DDR, 9700 pro and runs fine (medium settings). I think your 9800 pro will make it run better (on high), as your CPU and RAM are fine.

It will run very very well on low, very well on medium, well on high, but not the best on very high. Also, your ram seems a little bit low ( ) so dont complain if the loading times are really high. I tried it with 640Mb ram and I still had to wait quite a while. My bro tried it with 1024+128mb ram (dont feel like adding it up) and well, it didnt work (only because the 1 512 stick was slower than the rest).

I don't care about loading times, as soon as the game has loaded the level one time then it's a piece of cake to load again...

Less fine than my PC ...you may want a prosessor upgrade so physics run faster...but otherwise that is my PC and i can run far cry on high settings just fine

Frank, it'll run beautifully
I can run FC at ultra high details at 1024x768x32 and average 30FPS, and I have a XP 2500+ with a 9700 Pro

2.5 GHz P4, 9700pro, 512mb of DDRRAM here, running all on High settings with 30fps, although with some considerable slowdowns on the worst parts.
