hi i have bin playin css for ages now
and all of a sudden in the last couple of weeks every so often during gameplay my screen freezes and a few seconds...this also happens in the ship occasionaly

Tried different video drivers? Changed your graphix settings at all?

Computer specs? Also it could be due to loading the leaves into your RAM is being a bit slow.
Did you mess with any settings?

my specs are fine i am running amd 4400, gig of low latency ram, 1900gt,on an asus deluxe mobo

Try shoving this in your Launch options (Steam > Right click Counter-strike Source > Set Launch Options: -heapsize 524288).
This means CSS will use more RAM to load maps and models and such. Also in the console try typing "cl_forcepreload 1" (I think that's it) without quotation marks.

Check your video card temperature, it might be overheating.
