hello! I'm searching for someone able to double the speed of the CSS P228 firing animation: I have a mdl decompiler and XSI,but unfortunately also WinXPHome that is not compatible with the latter one. Is anyone brave enough to help me even if I am this ugly?

double the speed? pfft. Thats a coding or scripting area there. Plus doesn't it fire each time you press the mouse button no mater how fast you are clicking?

DarkViper: I see you've got the point! I don't really know how the P228 acts, but I know the pistol is required to performs that way: shooting as fast as you click. I'm writing this here because when I tried a straight port of the model (moving its files to the HL2 folder and calling it "v_pistol.mdl") I noticed that if I clicked fast enough, the p228 model stays behind in the animations (it misses shots,i.e. 5 are fired but 4 "shoot/recoil" animations are shown) and so I believe it's model related.

so far,I've been able to both disassemble the pistol and P228 models and read their qc. I could also change their fps ratio to have them faster, but unfortunately I think my standard "studiomdl.exe xdiesp.qc" is not enough because when I try recompiling the disassebled model (with all files in the correct places),even if I don't mod it,is a disappeared weapon hold behind my back (probably for some twisted coordinates work). Do you think I should add something else as a parameter?

solutuon to this is propably just doubling the fps in your gun model's firing animation $sequence in you .qc file. that's the first thing I would try

swiss_cheese9797: yes, that seems perfect! It only remains the problem of my studiomdl that with a command line as simple as "studiomdl xdiesp.qc" seems to do all origins wrong. Do you think I have to use XSI mandatory,or at least hire someone for the compiling with XSI?

I dont use xsi, I use 3d studio max and export to .smd and drag teh .qc file into studiomdl.exe and it works just fine.

swiss_cheese9797: hummm, can I contact you this sunday/monday for a little collaboration and compile this P228 and place it in Substance?

all right,I think the errors were there because my decompiler was bad. Unfortunately (but the italian idea of "sfiga" is much more fitting, this is a word you all should learn) Milkshape3D crashes shortly after I instruct it to either compile or decompile a QC file,so I still need some good soul help.

/ME raziel mode on
