"Subversion has not been cancelled, but I would certainly forget about it for now. We will be going back to that project eventually, but the first thing I plan to do is gut the thing from top to bottom of all the tech fluff that we forced in over the years. Without a core game it’s all a worthless distraction, and I will NEVER again spend so long making tech for a game without having a solid core game in place first. Subversion needs a total rethink from top to bottom, and some long standing sacred cows need slaughtering."

Noooooooooooo!:(

Fingers crossed that they don't oversimplify the game due to budget constraints.

I'm disappointed that they have spent YEARS AND YEARS apparently developing something that isn't good, but I respect them going back to the drawing board with it. Subversion does seem like a cool concept so I'm happy to give them more time to implement it properly... I'll still ultimately buy it.

After all, who else do we know who went back to the drawing board? That's right... our lord and master Valve did the same thing half way through the development of Quiver aka Half-Life.

Poor Introversion, they don't deserve these hardships and should totally be rolling in the dough.

I respect them for manning up and going back to square one in order to ensure they have a good game. I'm pissed at them for teasing me with such an awesome sounding game. You assholes better get it right this time!

Yes, I respect them for it too.

I'm still really disappointed because I have been dreaming about a good heist-like planning game for so long!

Chris Delay (oh the irony) maybe, the other too useless leeches though need to be removed from the equation as they've done nothing but live off their friends talent whilst lining their own pockets in the process.

FFFFFFUUUUUUU...

Glad they are smart about this though and seem to be making the right decision here, but MAN am I sad about this. Everything looked like it was shaping up to be their best yet--and that is really saying something because their releases have been getting better and better!!!

Good luck to them for a speedy and awesome new design!!

Prison Architect

Introversion’s Chris delay sends word that their new project, Prison Architect, is a game in which you “Build and manage a maximum security prison”. Crikey! Unexpected. But then it was unexpected. That’s the first image up there, too. This is the title the pioneering indie dev are working on now that their procedural heist game, Subversion, has been put on hold.

We’ll be speaking to Chris soon to get some more details.
