Hi yall,
ive got abit of a problem with cs-s and any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
The game runs perfectly well with everything on high and 8'AA and 8'AF and pulls off an average of 145fps in the test area.
The game runs without a hitch, but all of a sudden it hangs and pulls me back to xp telling me it had a problem and had to close, sometimes it even drops the whole pc causing it to reset and upon return tells me a serious error has accoured.
I am running offline at the mo as my pc is at a freinds house, but it is fully updated and running on stock settings other than a few startup commands i.e hepasize or whatever the command was (the one tht tells it to use more ram)
Anyway the pc seems to be running well cool, i even opened the sides to allow more air and this seems to make it last a little longer before it hangs. however nothing seems hot even at the point of crashing.
I have an assumption that it may be the power in the house not providing the pc with steady electric and it crashes when it recives a spike, thou it is through a surge protector albeit a very crap one.
anyhelp would be greatly helped
pc specs are as follows
AMD 3800+ 2.8ghz
7900gt 512meg
512 400hmz ram
ASUS motherboard
i cant remeber anything else, its in an aftermarke case with about 4 fans and nothing else inside it, its got like 4pci slots free. oh and its running a 28inch samsung hdtv (which looks amazing for cs)
Thanks in advance.
