I finally got my new desktop working after about 4 months and I was wondering if the stock cooler on an X800XT is fine or if I should invest in a better cooler, I don;t really plan on overclocking it, it's a PCIe model if that matters, also, if i should use a better cooling system (afraid to do watercooling) what would you recommend?
also, should i get heat spreaders for my RAM?

if your not going to overclock the stock should be fine...

thanks, i already had to buy a new fan/heatsink for the CPU cause it was running too hot, damn those Prescotts and their heat, so not having to gt anything extra for the GPU and RAm would certainly save me some cash

and im absolutely skint! im gonna get watercooling with my next payslip and try and get my £300 tax returned damn inland revenue

If your not planning on OC'ing the card, I wouldn't recommend getting another cooler for it. You may damage teh card for no reason if there are any problems. A friend of mine ruined his 9800pro card while fitting a arctic cooler HSF purely by accident, he was careful putting it on but damaged the memory. Just a thought

good point, didn;t think of that, i'd hate to kill the card, huess i just won't OC it
