he just wanted to make you think that it wasnt good so that he could get the glory...i know that sceam joule

I'm downloading now... Although I got the link from Crush, too ;)

wow this is amazing, although in the mario 3 video he cheated by going frame by frame, i hope this guy didnt do that

I think I've seen this one before. He has to use a glitch to get into the area in the castle with the big clock (walks through the wall or something), and he uses some glitch to get up the infinite stairs to the final bowser. Still impressive though.

oh big deal he didnt get all 120 stars lol.

EDIT: AND HE CHEATED TO GET INTO THE TOP DOOR, AND TO GET UP THE INFINITE STEPS.

sry but this guy shouldnt get reconition for it cause hes a nerd and a loser and he cheated so who gives a shit

That doesn't beat finishing Fallout 2 in 20 minutes (17 actually, I think).

wha, thats crazy.. didnt know the game was so buggy,, theres atleast 3 major glitch exploits in there!

I have a video where someone beats fallout 1 in 10 MINUTES. 10. He records the credits as well, and the credits actually last for longer than the time it took him to beat the game.

But yea, this video is amazing. Cheat or no cheat, he moves like a pro, you have to hand him that. I was gobsmacked

i have a video of where a guy beats (right term?) a rubix cube in 16 secs!

Although he cheated, you can tell he knows his way around. Well done to him i guess.

let me find it...its deep in the harddrive somewhere...although its from compfused

Glitches or not, that is still amazingly good. If he played through it fully he'd still whoop all of our times.

No way. That dude needs to use his free time with something more productive. :/ :p

And I can't even beat the goddamn game on my DS. I gave up :p

Well I'm guessing it's pretty damn hard to play with a stylus anyway, it was hard enough with a joystick :E

every single "record breaking" speed video EVER has used glitches, with the possible exception of Half-Life (not sure- never watched it) because VALVe made it bug free. Only one thing is sure- to make a speed video and beat a record, you need to be one of the best players in that genre. So don't flame them for using glitches- they're part of the game, after all.

Oh weren't you the one that was asking for advice on an internet forum? And then said you'd take back the girl that cheated on you. 2/3 are you. You have no room to talk.

He didn't cheat, he explioted bugs in the game.

IMHO, one of Fallout 2's faults is that if you've beaten the game, then you know how to acquire the best armour in the game in under 10 minutes.

The goal of a speedrun is to do it as fast as possible using glitches and shortcuts you dumbass, running through a game takes no skill, using glitches the right way does.

EDIT: Quake done in 10 minutes is much more impressive.

I can't figure out the weird stair-jumping trick he did... I was trying to do it for 10 minutes but i gave up.
<3 emulators

It was impressive. But I was more caught with something else...

I can't believe there was a time when I thought such visuals were groundbreaking and amazing.

I'm pretty sure the speed run for HL (done in I think 20-30 minutes), the guy actually had skipped entire levels and huge portions of maps exploiting skybox placement (guass gun + jump = speed run)

I say we start a thread where people post these kinds of videos. Finishing HL2 in under 5 minutes... You know stuff like that. Just like this video.. We can sticky it and change the name and have all the videos posted edited into the first post. :)

Also, in the one I saw, he pushed NPCs into doors, which makes them open, and can also skip whole chapters :p

In the current fastest HL speed video entire levels are skipped by jumping into the skybox etc..

Fallout 1 is much shorter than Falluot 2. More than 2 times :]

Post these record breaking videos like the Fallout 1 and 2 video, the HL video, etc.. Come on.. Don't be stubborn.

The original Half-Life's speed video, the 45 minute one, used numerous glitches to skip through tons of areas. Was extremely impressive though.
