this might be the stupidest question in the world, but is there a super mario 64 version for the PC? id love to play it on my computer instead of N64. thanks.

Edit: as a matter of fact are there any versions of any 3D super mario game or zelda game for pc?
 
Well not legally, but you can look for things called emulators. Basically they are a program you download that will emulate a console system on your PC, I admit to downloading a few games even though it is illegal but since you can't even buy them anymore (old NES games) I really had no option.

I won't say any more but yes you can play Mario 64 and Zelda on your PC with these.
 
i do own them(bought them)so it wouldnt be that bad. i just wanna play it on the computer.
 
OK, my first responsibility is to tell you that ROMs are illegal if you do not have the game for the corresponding system *wink wink*

Having said that you can download ROMs of N64 games through the web. You have to download emulators to play those roms on your computer. PSX emulators are very stable, but N64 emulators are rather buggy except for the big games, so games like Mario 64 will run fine, but games like Conker's Bad Fur Day will have problems. Plus you'll have to have a pretty powerfull computer to push the graphics to the max.

What are you talking about, there is a link for zelda: OT. No Rom site is complete without the best console game ever.
 
Thanks for the links, but they don't have Perfect Dark. :(

I've wanted to re-play that game for the longest time but my N64 cntrollers are all broken. The N64 joysticks don't last too long, unfortunately.

Try taking them apart, giving the insides a good clean, and apply some grease at the right places (;)) My pads were bust too, now they're almost as good as new :)

Get a cheap adapter to allow your N64 pads to work on the pc and you're all set (Mario 64 has to be played with the right pad :) )

Oh yeh - Mario 64 ........ the best game i've ever played!! \o/ :D
 
At a LAN party some guy had PJ64(project 64 I guess...) and he had Goldeneye on it, for some reason it was laggy and the controls SUCKED.
 
Know what's kindof funny? Most all of the interior zelda areas are pre-rendered. You can't tell on a tv too easily, but on a pc it looks like shit. I remember when I got the original Tomb Raider for my pc. (hey, the 1st one was good) And a friend of mine was touting zelda 64's amazing graphics, a game I'd never actually played. I got a game, he got a slideshow. Now that I finally see zelda 64 in all it's prerendered pixelated glory it's funny.
 
OOT is IMO the best game ever made. GameSpot, IGN, ETC gave it a perfect "10" so I wouldn't knock it if I where you. Super Mario 64 is the second best game IMO and third is Banjo Kazooie. Yeah they may be kiddy games but I think they are super awesome. Check out the new Zelda!!!
 
Man....Banjo Kazooie gave me flashbacks...I played the hell outta that game.
 
I loved banjo kazooie! And OOT was great, but not the best game ever made IMO, it was the best console game...HL is the best game ever. and that mario piano guy is nothing! I can play all of the zelda songs on the piano! *gets a video camera and realizes he can't record himself playing piano* oh well.
 
Fact: N64 > GC (until GC:Zelda arrives at least).

I had many funs playing Mario, Goldeneye (four player marathons overnight), and Banjo.
 
If you really wanna get into the N64 emulator experience, you need a gamepad with a good joystick on it, otherwise playing n64 games with your keyboard is useless
 
That's true. Or use a joystick. Unless you want to be constantly redragging your mouse it's a necessity.
 
man zelda oot is my favourite game ever but it wouldve been the best if instead of majoras mask they made a second part to the game. does anyone know if the GC Zelda is a continuation of OOT?!

Majora's Mask was horrible, it was just a copy and paste job from Ocarina. I own it and I never could get past the first dungeon, that's how boring it was.
 
I beat Majora's Mask on my pc.
Was very very wierd....
 
I actually prefered Majora's Mask /o\
 
i have project 64 and it says this sometimes when i open it: Error: Failed to allocate memory, does anyone know how to fix this?!
 
Majoras mask was good, better in a lot of ways than OOT, but it just got a little boring half way through the game.

Disable the memory card option in the joystick plugin, or get a memory card file (don't know where, I never use that option).
 
Yeah just mess with the plugins, particularly the display one. Try toggling all the crap in there, then reset and see if it's better, rinse wash and repeat.
 
I just wish they'd get the N64 emulaton as smooth as the PSX. I've played over 10 PSX games on my computer through emulators and have seen less than 2 crashes per each game (each game being 40 hours +).

Play Banjo Kazooie and go into option and check your stats and the game freezes, and almost every game has a lot of problems that are very annoying.
 
I useto have an awesome emulator with both zelda ocarina of time and majoras mask.
i had super mario 64 too =D
