1. If I buy the CE on steam as opposed to CE retail, what's different about it? What kinds of things.
2. If I by CE on steam, do I need the DVD in the case to play Half Life 2? What about CS:S?
3. If I buy the retail version of Hl2 (not CE) do I need the CD in to play?
4. If I buy CE on steam, how long will it take for it to come to my home?
5. If I buy CE on steam, do I even need to insert the DVD at all or can I just DL?
6. If I buy CE on steam can I DL HL2 before it actually comes to my home?

Honestly, you could have found all these answers by yourself. Simple searching would have gotten you them.

1.) Half-Life 2 Collector's Edition and Half-Life 2 Gold
2.) If you are buying it off of steam you are downloading it.
3.) Most Likely, someone who has retail could answer it.
4.) You download the game, the extra items will take a few weeks to arrive.
5.) Just download the game.
6.) Ordering it off of Steam will require you to download the game, no other options.
