Super Smash Bros. Melee is one of the best games on Nintendo Gamecube, IMO. :thumbs: Do any of you here play this game?

I hope none of you are against Gamecube. (gets scared and dodges throwing objects)

True. Unfounded melle attacks and speacial moves will get you no-where without the core moves... sounds obvios but its actually rather hard to master the basics. definately not a button basher game.

i also love the single player, with over 250 trophies to collect and loads of characters it will last forever. i have all the characters and i only need 1 level, plus i have almost 200 trophies. my fave character is link

speaking of the green hero, anyone here play the GC version of Soul calibur 2? that also owns... thats evel less of a button basher game... pure skill required. so kewl.

There's a bit of strategy, there's lots of ways to counter your enemy's attack. For example, if you get knocked down, you can attack really quickly or roll away.
I piss people off by doing the roll-dodge an extremely annoying amount.
It's only button mashing when you use characters like Fox or Marth and go up and stand in front of a guy and press 'A' continuously to get them in a lock by kicking or slashing the hell out of 'em.

I have it. And I LOVE it. It's such a fun game. I like any character with a sword. My two favorites are Roy and Link.
