Superman Returns

The movies headed in the wrong direction IMO. I'm not too keen on Bryan Singer except The Usual Suspects.

I thought that guy in the TV show "Smallville" (Superman prequal) was going to play the man of steel.
But everyone knows Schwarzenegger would play the best Superman. :sniper:

I'm not, looks like it could be cool, and he does look a lot like the other.

What are you guys on about? This looks pretty kick-ass. The suit is all retro colours, a browny kind of red, looks totally awesome.

Bryan Singer directed The Usual Suspects (great movie) and the X-men movies (decent as far as comic book movies go).

we need a superwoman who is a stripper by night

I'm just disappointed in the suit. I don't like the maroon and the "S" on his chest, his boots, and his "Undies" are too small. Kinda makes him look like he was a last minute choice and his costume doesn't fit.

As far as crew goes, it's looking pretty good

umm Singer directed the X-men series. those were awesome.

Apparently the colors in that pic are unsaturated or something

LMAO!

Look at the newspaper article - Dean Cain "Lois and Clark" (1993-97) - Career virtually dead. I guess they dont count "ripleys believe it or not" as a great turn in a tv stars career.

Hehe, although Dean Cain career appears to be dead. I assumed Teri Hatchers career has taken off agian due to Desperate Housewives.

a superman movie?

why?

cuz if we consider that the only thing that kill him is kripyonite or what ever then it will not be enterntaiment

villain:I am going to kill superman (shoots superman)
superman:that dont kill me (punch enemy who go flying)
lois: oh superman you saved me
villain:wait I hav krypnotite(show a green bright rock)
superman:eek:h no krypnitote

and then superman do something and win blablabla

New superhero films are usually about the inner turmoil they experience because of their powers. Look at the new batman film, that's as dark as you can it's so focused on his scarred past. Even spiderman is focused so much on Parkers personal problems, he throws it all away to be normal in spiderman 2.

"don't be naive even heros have the right to bleed"

I think it's time for a contemporary Superman film.

There's some truth to that. Heros like Batman and Spiderman are human/mortal, which makes what they do more dangerous and enjoyable to watch. With Superman, there's less danger because he's only really vulnerable to a space rock called Kryptonite.

I guess the movie would have to be more psychological based than dealing with his physical abilities.

That used to be the case before Crisis

yup...they were to make a Superman movie, basing it off the Smallville series would be the typical super hero struggling to find a balance in life.. although in Smallville they really do play that angle up big time...moreso than in movies.

I guess superman lacks super fashion sense.
Zing!

Ah well, it could have been worse (Brendan Frasier).
I'm not a big superman fan, so I'm not too troubled over it.
Also, I'm betting RJMC is 100% correct.
They'll toss some morality stuff or inner conflict stuff, but they might as well skip the middleman and call it Superman vs. A Handful Of Kryptonite.

Man...are you going to wear that?

Superman looks ok but I have to se the movie in action to really tell if it is going to be any good.

That has got to be the lamest costume ever. Homosexuals must have designed it :p
