I've looked into this, though it cannot be confirmed, there is evidence backing this up. Sadly enough; The managers at both EbGames, and Gamstop, could not confirm this. But, they did say it seems likely.
Hope this doesn't turn out to just be something screwy. I find highly plausible to release a Halo 2 Demo on the 2nd Anniversary of the original's debut. It would be fantastic if it was the full version...but Bungie have already crushed that part of the rumor.

BTW: Bungie was quick to stomp on the full version rumor, but didn't make any comments on the validity of a Halo 2 Demo - which means there's probably truth to this story.

I watched the Halo2 e3 video a few months ago, before I even played the first halo. Since then I have played Halo 1 on PC and I've come to enjoy it, and I just watched Halo 2 video again, and realized how awesome it is!

I want it! But I don't want an Xbox...

I'm not too sure about it being out this month...Bungie has already said, in reply to this rumor, that it won't be out until next year. But hopefully the demo thing is true.

Hmmm....then again; Bungie could be pulling strings, but I doubt it.
