So i'm really into surf maps lately, but I was wondering if I could practice on offline mode. Thing is, when I do "create server" nothing works right. The maps that i played are there, but i can't surf due to the settings not being right or something. I got a suf map pack, and I can kinda surf there, but the settings seem a bit off, and after a while I fall off. I have yet to find someone who knows how to do this. Its some kind of cfg but I don't know what that cfg is. Can anyone give me a good idea at what the settings should be? I think it varies by server, but a generaly accepted configuration would be nice.

Doesn't the map remain in your computer after you download it? If that's the case, just create a server using that map, and play there. I used to suck at surfing but then I found this deathmatch low gravity surf server and that's how I was finally able to make it till the end of the slide :)

yeah, it stays there, and thats what i'm talking about. When i load that up, I can't really surf like on the servers...also, when i load a map i had just played, the config seems to be gone. The maps i downloaded have config, but they don't seem to work, cause i can't get to the end of the track, i just slip off. Maybe i just can't surf well...eh, i dunno.

wow, thanks alot. I knew something wasn't working, your answer kinda made my day. :D

Way to not read his post :p

sv_airaccelerate 100
Err, I always set sv_airaccelerate to 600. But maybe 100 works too. Perhaps it's because the sites you posted were for 1.6?

If you were actually a lowkife king of the city you wouldn't put *s in.

Incidentally, surfing's more fun with sv_gravity 1200 :)

Dirty South if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say it, this thread didn't even ask for opinions on surfing in the first place.

And stop spamming the boards with your stupid server info and the ****ing bigass annoying image.

(Please. :))
