Surprise speculation?

Well, at this point, it's pretty obvious that Valve is hiding some pretty nifty surprises in this upcoming episode of Half Life. Some talk about TF2 to ship with HL, others say the G-Man will be revealed as an alien.

What do you think Valve has up their sleeves?

I have a few ideas. It may be possible to actually watch a headcrab jump onto a poor, unsuspecting human and have them actually morph into a hostile zombie. Also, I'm thinking that something VERY innovative is coming in multiplayer, as that's the area of Half Life 2 most shrouded in mystery. Finally, I'm sure there will be many surprises about the G-Man.

I think hl multiplayer will have a team mode akin to UT's assault where you have to achieve a number of objectives in sequence to win the game.

Mulitplayer will be good, or revolutionary if they are hiding it so much just like he said, i suspect a more orientated singleplayer style but not as a co op.

Also the story, I bet that the humans will be losing all the way till hl3 comes out which is when they finnaly take the fight to the aleins.

I'd have to agree with jat about the story thing. At the end of Half Life 2, I suspect that there will be a catastrophic thing that happens, and then it will fade to black and end with some cool music. That way, Half Life 3 will be highly anticipated.
