Swarming Koi...

I was looking up fish information and found a pretty good site, but when I got to their forums and wandered around a little bit, I happened to see this thread. Some of the scariest pictures I've ever seen... it actually made me feel kinda sick... :O . So of course, I thought it'd be nice to share the joy

Why, cuz it's lots of fish? My grandpa had a koi pond like that with like 50 koi... you can pet them on their head

umm, that they're all over each other... there's too many fish, in the same spot, at the same time. or, as somebody posted there, "it looked like a writhing mass of colonic fat appendices." i actually like koi -- i have one in my fishtank right now; it's just that they look like they're suffocating each other....

koi are scary. i went to the koi festival in D.C. once, and they're kinda ominous in person. i mean, first of all the water is usually murky, so you see these faint glimpses of fish below the surface, and then they suddenly surface when they see people because they expect food, so they shove their fishy mouths out at you. also they're colored like little pet gold fish, and some of them are huge. there is something disconcerting about a normally small pet being so huge. it's kinda like going to a dog show, and having a beagle the size of a horse emege from the shadows with a wide open mouth. ****ing koi...

and for all of y'all pushing people in, i propose pushing all the "that's not scary" people in, throwing some food in right near you, and letting the feeding frenzy begin--over a thousand koi coming at you with gaping mouths. feed me!!! hehe, hehehe.

[edit] ooh, found another weird goldfish: The Lionhead. "It is difficult for the fish to balance itself. It swims and eats slowly and gracefully. Some Lionhead have their heads pointing downwards when they are not moving." fancy goldfish should be banned!!!!!
