Swedish prisons too kind?

I know that we swedes are getting rather plenty at the moment(maybe too plenty) and that we most evenings have a good chat. So here's today's subject for swedes and other interested; our prisons are getting to weak, we've had three escapes the recent weeks. Do you guys think that we should be less nice when it comes to criminals and treat them as the deserv?

It don't matter to me.
Swedish prisons are like an average home in some countrys.
They said that the superprison would be bulilt in either Nikkaloukta or Boden.

And every time someone that is somewhat dangerous, the NI (Nationella Instatsgruppen, think of it like an nationwide S.W.A.T, just more trained) have captured them within days.
 
escaping from a swedish prison is almost too easy! (i would know... shush!)

Because anything I'll say on this forum won't make them put armed guards outside every cell.

Why bother if you can't change it?
 
I don't care, untill the day I get robbed/mugged/raiped/beaten/murdered by someone who escaped the prison :stare:

But then you shouldn't vote either, should you? What differens does one vote?
 
Hmm, some more security would be good, though the luxuries (own cells, tv, shower etc) must remain. It's important to treat prisoners humanly :)

Yes, but is it fair that the prisoners gor better food than the students in school?
 
Considering it's not even against the law to escape from prison in Sweden, I'd say YES.
 
Well, you must ofcourse return or NI will come and shoot you.
But no time will be added, so it dosn't matter if you do escape.

I know my vote will affect something, therefore I vote.
 
The problem is that you cant even be punished for escpaing..its like this summer when that Serbian Mafia leader just went away on vacation with his family on his perol..and the cops and politicians are like.."we cant do anything but to wait for him to come back"

we are wayyy to kind here in some areas..

Well, if you can't afford a hotel it's the next best thing ;)
 
Yeah, come to finland... get in prison, it's better than welfare... You get tv, bed, an enormus prison cell, computer (if your nice), life is only 12 years(or 20, forget) and you get the chance to educate yourself too!

Why don't people listen to me?
If you escape, the NI will come and bring you back.
 
8 years sounds pretty silly, I suspect its more than that.

It's more than that. 20 years I think. You've read too much Arne Anka. :P

Swedish prisoners got own TV, stereo, computer, bathroom. Every prison has a sportshall and a gym, and the food served in prisons is better than the one served on schools. Glad to see my tax-monkey pays off! ;)
 
Im serious thinking about going to jail for like a year or so just so i can break out...

Theres so many cool things you can do when youre bored.

Indeed they do. They all go towards our truly great quality of life :)
Now, we just need to push down those pesky Norweigans from 1#, and we'll be the best :E

Only those who makes lots of money pay that much. The average sweden pays around 30% in taxes.
