Switch to all-digital signal kind of kicks ass.

Just got $20 for spending all of five minutes setting up my neighbors TV for digital. They also picked up a cartoon station, a evangelical station and almost the Spanish channel. (and a few more I can't remember now)

What odd jobs have you done for tech n00bs and been over-rewarded for?

Got $100 for helping my friends mom hook up her internets. Was just a quick router to modem deal.

$20 from step sister for setting up wireless
$20 for re doing Windows on Mom's friend's computer
$10 for setting up a neighbor's iPod (no bs)

I had a reputation in my school for being good with computers (despite only really being computer-litterate) and one teacher in particular, who was a computer teacher, and a moron, would from time to time get me to help her fix the most basic problems. Of course I was never rewarded because she's also a complete bitch.

So its half in english, half in spanish?

I fixed a family friends computer once and got 80 bucks.

Spanglish channel ftw! Heh heh

I remember causing so much shit in our computer lab. We removed keys from the keyboard and spelled out sentences. Oh and I put goatse on the projector and deleted vital system32 files from ~4 machines that the teacher ended up ENTIRELY replacing (as opposed to reformatting.)

Actually that's pretty common at my humble abode as well. A lot of cable company people no absolutely jack shit.

You all are sick bastards for charging family/friends for sexual favors.

Unless you're a kid and that's your only source of revenue; then it's cool.

I work sometimes on the side for a corporation which gets me good cash.

Same here, sometimes we'd have to call over Comcast to fix our cable line because a lot of times there 'isn't enough signal strength to power both the internet and tv'. So they would come over, and completely break everything. By the time they leave, we have no cable at all, they would tell us that there is' another problem that needs fixing later, and that they'd be back. Idiots.
