Synergy can allow play of HL:2 maps (ie the missions) in co-op mode, you just have to know the map names.

2.1 has been released. with many bug fixes and new features including wallhop, personal colors and a new menu to mount games such as Half Life:Source:bounce:

Yes, you can play HL2 SP maps in Synergy and BigJumbo has been making MCF files for ALL the SP maps so they work better for coop. So check out Bigjumbos server if u want to play the modified SP maps with friends

I like this mod its much more fun than HL2: DM but the thing thats the most annoying is the loading times, some great co-operative gameplay with HL music in tge background + taunts/help calls= ftw.

Also it would be great if you guys made some of the old HL enemies like the bullsquid, houndeye, garg's, & ichy for underwater fights, just higher poly & better textures for source for these beasts. It would be complete.

Yeah, but its used kinda like ripent.

and @ the Hl1 enemies question:

some of the Hl1 enemies are in, but not many of the maps actually have them. Were still fixing them up a bit cause they are a little bit buggy

Even though the Garg is in among other HL1 enemies, will there be a higher-res Garg? that would be sweet, but for right now try to concerntrate on the lag thats been in the mod.
