System check...

hey all as you can see im new at halflife2.net so hi to all of u :cheers:

now to the point:

my system can bearely handle half life 2 (when i come outside FPS: 2 ) i want to have a nice framerate and still enjoy some of the view what settings do you people recommend?

2.4 gigahertz
256 mb ram
video: Ati radeon 9250 256 mb ()

You could certainly do with more system RAM. 1GB would be nice but you might get away with 512MB (I guess it depends on the speed of the RAM really).

yea, more ram and a new video card. what is your motherboard?

Still, your specs beat mine and I can get 20+ fps with medium settings outside and 30-40 inside, which is certainly playable. I don't know whats causing such bad FPS in your case, be certain to turn off etc. and check out new drivers I suppose! Good luck

i would recommend using the settings that it auto detects and what other ppl said u should prob. update ram also
