System help---dont know what to do.

I upgraded my system last july and it had many quirks that I initially dismissed. The bottom line is that my system doesnt like games.

In call of duty when I host an empty server it runs perfectly, but online with lots of people, the framerate doesnt slow..it more jumpy (not internet lag). Another thing happens to me in the Flatout demo, when i'm racing the framerate will randomly slow at times.

I've tried 2 types of ram (512 mb kingston hyperX pc3500, 512 stick of PMI pc 2700), and screwed with settings. I'm currently running on a ti4200. I'm goign to try my 9600 pro in a couple of days. This mobo also doesnt like running 9600 series cards on 8x.

Any ideas?

SPECS
Athlon 64 3000+
80 gig IDE hdd
(currently on 768 megs of pc2700)
TI4200 (tring 9600 pro this weekend, when I can get it)
MSI K8N Neo Platinum mobo.

If I cant fix any of this, I'm getting a new motherboard.

It sounds like a motherboard problem. Try RMA it back to MSI.

Make a post here.

If you do get a different board, I would recommend an Asus board as they have the best compatibility with Memory and are good performers.
