system reboot? system restart??

Hi im running windows xp and i need help restarting or whatever you call it, so that nothing is on the computer except the necsecities ex: word. Can someone please help me out?

I think the word you're after is "Formatting"

Well, hate to brake it to you...but once you format everything's gone, unless you backup your "necsecities" on another drive or a CD.

To format a drive bung in a boot disk so you can access the command prompt and type:

format c:

Then you can install windows XP using the cd
