I'm just wondering and am pretty worried my new comp isn't going to run CS: Source with a playable fps that won't drop too much.
My new comp (which i'm getting in a few days) is a ;

Pentium4 2.80GHz with Hyper Threading technology
512 PC2700 333mhz DDR RAM
Sapphire ATI Radeon X800 Pro

Please tell me this will be enough to reach a FPS of 100

Dear me.. Can already see this forum isn't different than others.
No i didn't want to rub it in.. In fact, If i knew how good my comp was i wouldn't ask.
I'm always worried i won't play games properly.
I'm really looking forward to CS: Source but i'm scared to death it's gonna run like crap.
Sorry if i gave you the wrong impression.

edit- I do know however the X800 pro is one of the strongest cards out there, Hence i ordered such an expensive card.

I don't know if you can reach 100fps on that, but if you cant then just d/l a fps booster to get you to 100

I'm good, I just want to a solid 60 FPS with high details with my 9800 XT but I'm having some doubts. But I'll know it will run on high details with a good FPS. I'm picking up the X800 XT when my next semester starts.

1GB Nanya RAM

A) a noob PC user or
B)your a noob gamer or
C)you lack some amount of common sense.

you are practically running top of the line hardware, so what makes you think that you can't run HL2 "flawlessly" or any other game for that matter?

Scared that HL2 will run like crap on your PC? doodz, they did surveys to make sure the game can cater to at least 70% of the players with their current hardware.

If you specs can't run HL2 properly, What can? A NASA computer?

I dont think you will be able to run CS with 100FPS on that system.

Its almost impossible to run ANY game with good graphics on 100 FPS these days.

I did say i've got no clue about pc's, Hence i asked.
I can't say i'm a noob gamer, i pretty much win most of the time i play.

dear god...k you say you're not a noob gamer yet you dont know whether a computer with the latest toys will play a game that supports hardware that's 2 years old? I defy to find a game that wont run on your computer...in fact if your system is too low for any game coming out in the next year I'll gladly buy you a new one
