Found this on the internet that allows you to type up tabs and can input bass and drums and all - quite handy if you have ideas you want to try out and everything

http://www.guitar-pro.com/en/index.php

And you get a 30-day trial so you can at least get started on your masterpieces. Lots of nice little extras too

I think its very handy for guitarists because if you have sample warm up excercises you can type them in and there is a "speed up option" that will speed up the playback by a certain amount every loop...

ENJOY!!!

I personally like power tab better

http://www.power-tab.net/downloads.php linky

it is free and is an awesome program and they have alot of tabs already done online. It also plays your tabs you write in MIDI so you can tell what they might sound like.

Apparently you can record MIDI into the Guitar Pro one too but i havent tried it...Just wanted an easy way to tab my own stuff...

Comes with many demos and all

59 euro...quite pricy so im gonna make the most of my free trial and then decide...

GuitarPro is the way forward. I use it in Music tech. for everything.

And yes, you can add MIDI tracks. I put the Doctor Who theme on and changed it for a Salsa GCSE peice. Oh yeah.
