I was just wondering what's a good tablet to go for? I want a good sized, decent tablet. I've seen all those A4 Intuos which are a bit too far over my budget :p

I'm looking for something which will pretty much give me as much bang for my buck as possible. I've heard good things about Wacom, I do actually own a very, very old Wacom which is tiny, but I've lost both the pen and the cable so I figured I'll just a shiny new one.
So, what do you think's best?

Also a few questions about using tablets and photoshop:

(I'm pretty sure for some of those questions but meh)
1.) Set it so the pressure you put on the pen defines the width of the line? ( I think I could do this on me old one)
2.) Set it so the more pressure you put down, the darker the colour? (Would this work with colours as well? Say I pick red - If I press down hard I'll get darker tones, and lightly get light tones)
3.) Both of these at one time? :P (not sure why I'd want to do that :p)

Any help/advice would be much appreciated :)

Yeh I've found one for 295, not too bad - but I think I'll save up and get that rather than buying a smaller one now. If you find any for any cheaper let me know ;)

Get a graphire3 if you don't want to spend much, still a good tablet, Intuos3 is the best though, does all you want and then some.

I still use an A6 at home - I'm used to working with ultra fine, ultra small artwork though so it's down to what is most comfortable for you. An A6 is cheap as chips if you prefer a smaller pad.

(looking at elf's sig) I remember seeing Tommy Cooper die on stage, everyone thought it was part of the act and laughed.
