On the companion cube level, inside the room with the poems and pictures about the companion cubes. There's a calendar that says "the girls of aperture science 1983" with a woman in a bikini on one of those floating panels that has her head replaced with a cube.

Isn't HL1 in like 98-02??

Is it possible we have been suspended in time for about 20-30 years?

Personally, I would like to know how this person that was there prior to us received the pictures of the founder and the cube. So that person could have found the calender and such and put it in there because that is all he could find. Meaning he found an old calender in the corridors of the complex.

ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE! :D

The game takes place after 1996, if you read the notes on the Aperture Science website, then you would know.

Personally, I believe the calendar is either old, or the art team messed up. According to the website, GLaD wasn't active until ~1996. I'd say the game takes place sometime in the 2000s, after HL but before HL2.

But doesn't that put holes in the whole "bring your daughter to work day" thing? Because if that were true, that she is a daughter, then why did she age to a 20-30 yr old woman while suspended in time? Gordon didn't physically age, why would she?

I see, so basically she's been living at Aperture most of her life?

That is how I see it. She was the daughter of someone, and she was trapped in the stasis chamber where she eventually wakes.

But how would that be any different then what happened to Gordon? I still don't understand why she would physically age and he wouldn't.

Plus, if she just has the mind of a young girl, I don't understand how she solves all those complex problems.

Being the son (edit: DAUGHTER) of scientists, maybe she was pretty smart. She might also have been already in her teenage years or something.

The G-Man is an extradimensional and incredibly powerful entity who may just have the power to control time itssssself and is certainly capable of taking Gordon to a timeless pocket dimension.

Aperture Science is an earth-based company keeping Chell in a mechanical stasis pod.

I'm still not sure I agree with this 'Chell has been in stasis for years' theory but it has a certin resonance.

What this fatty said!

Good job Sulky. I knew I <3'd you for a reason.

I see your other points, but many would argue, including myself in the Gman possibly having the ability to control time itself theory. Because that would have many plot holes. Like why doesn't the Gman freeze time and have Gordon kill all the combine while they are frozen in time?

Because he's a wanker.

Shamrock, you're so mercenary. ;(
