So I tried out being a Tank on single player in The Apartments level, and I realized how easily I could move cars of course.

So I wanted to do a little test, and I hit the car right down the stairs leading to the storage room that contained the safe room.

Sure enough the Humans could not get into the storage room in any way what so ever, and while trying, set off the alarm. Of course they died.

I am wondering, do you think this will be a common dick thing that will occur on public games? It's funny of course, but incredibly cheap.

hehe that is a really dick move.

ya im curious to how well this versus mode will work. hopefully they will fix alot of that so it doesnt ruin the game for everyone.

Perhaps tanks won't be able to spawn in game breaking places? Or if you kill the Tank, cars reset?

Bear in mind we're not supposed to be the tank yet! :P

The car does disappear if you move it and then move far away from it for a long enough period of time.

Yes I understand we are not supposed to be the tank yet, though tanks do seem to spawn at that point on occasion, so it leads me to believe it will be the same.

There's a lot of versus we don't know. I did notice I could move cars yesterday, but didn't think anywhere outside of that.

TF2 wasn't entirely perfect when it was released.

I think they'll turn out the same.

The car goes away after a period of time, if your away from it.

I could have sworn I fought a tank once in the streets.

i only recall fighting a boomer.

edit: lol fight, yea right

How do you play as infected? I dont see an option to do so.

It's a work-around, ktimekiller, and there are several guides how to do it in the various threads in this forum.

I just enjoy raping you, Pat. You're just so adorable. I can't help meself.

You guys wanna play as infected?

Maybe it was when Druckles, Toaster, and Shamrock decided it would be awesome to all play as infected and rape me.

Yeah it's especially charming when they decide to do that on Expert mode. Very sporting.

The thing with versus mode is you dont choose what you are gonna spawn as, the director choose for you so most of the time you are spawning as Hunter Smoker or Boomer, a tank will spawn every now and then, like once or twice (with two on the finalie map), then whoever gets control of the tank has to start bashing survivors, or the Frustration meter goes down, if you stay out of combat to long, the tank switches to AI.

Source? I'm not being a dick or anything, I'm genuinely curious to see what else is said. If that's the case, that's AWESOME.

Tis true, they explain it on the l4d website under each infected class.

Quite clever by Valve to create the frustration o meter. That way you can't be cheap and hide, or run away during a battle while playing as a tank.

Sounds about true. There's definitely a meter, but it don't do anything in the demo.

The meter does move. I've noted it on several occasions, but I've never actually let it deplete. I've stopped attacking the survivors for several minutes on occasion and let it drop, but like I said, it never reached the end as I'd always attack them as soon as I noted the loss of frustration.

Well, then I'm glad they added that to the tank. I was worried how gay it would have been if you were a tank, and just hid around somewhere near the end, when everybody has used their medpacks and might be low on ammo and life.

Awesome.

I had the frustration meter take over about twice, it switched me to a hunter and the tank I formerly controlled went on his smashing business.

So, be a Tank, then just wait it out and get thrown into a hunter and you have one extra zombie friend!

You'd still have to verse that Tank though at the end whether or not a user was controlling him or not. So they can camp him at the end, and lose him then they can become a Hunter and muff yo shit up, b.

I assume the tank would have already been there, anyway, so that wouldn't be an issue.
