If it's some incarnation of TF2, I'd be disappointed because no physics gun, but then I'd cheer up because it's TF2

Nah - I'm keeping my expectations low for next week's surprise.
I'm predicting it'll be - "SURPRISE! Remember when we said we'd give you more CS:S maps and models in December? Well here's the surprise - we actually delivered them when we said we would! How about that?"

Yeah people are getting pretty excited, but it's most likely just a new CS map. Not that it wouldn't be wicked to have a brand new map, rather than just fancy versions of old maps.. but still, I'm betting on it being a CS :S map. But a new one, or another old one touched up who knows.

Been waiting since 1999 for TF2, especially back when it was touted best action game at the '99 E3.

Read the news,look at the media, it's 5 years old. They had game magazines review it and they won awards for it at e3. in 1999...

If it was to be anything about Team Fortress 2, it would be "NEWS" and only that, things going over gameplay, technology used, terrian deformation, maps...etc. Anyone thinking it would be a beta is wishfully thinking like crazy. I personally think it's CS:S content like they said they would have out in December. Cliffe was the one who told us about that CS:S content coming, and then Lombardi (i think?) was the one who said we get the suprise, just the other day. 2 minds thinking differently, Lombardi just wants to make it sound likes its huge, or maybe it's just the community who gets OVER EXCITED like crazy just because he says there is a suprise for the community next week. In my books, he's entirelly referring to a classic map*, de_prodigy, and player models...sorry kids!
