Team Fortress 2 Update Released

Valve have released a new update for Team Fortress 2 to fix some of the issues that caused by the last update, here is the change list:
  • Fixed Kritzkrieg client crash in particle system
  • Fixed Milestone 2 and Milestone 3 achievements being given at the incorrect times
  • Fixed exploit where players could drop weapons onto the ground for other players to pickup

Restart Steam to get the new update.

Continuing the inevitable "(class)+(weapon)" speculating...

Demoman with Engineer Creator thing could create some serious havoc.
 
I was playing last night and there was a medic which ubered himself permanently, he was running around emptying sentries so his team could rush, it was really annoying. It's not in this changelist so I'm a little worried how much more of this we're going to see....
 
I've read a few things about medics/pairs of medics using the ubersaw to keep boosting their uber so they have a permenant uber. D=
 
Emptied the sentry? That must have taken a few minutes, especially if the engy was refilling it. Standing point blank would at least distract it from the other team anyway.

By the way, what did the sentry sound like when it ran out of ammo?

Same thing happened to me today. I hope this gets fixed soon.

Same sound as the Heavy's weapon running out of ammo. It's quite amusing to see the sentry locking onto it's target just to hear a faint click, click, click.
 
Would dropping weapons only provide ammo to teammates, or was this exploit really as crazy as it sounds? I'm just imagining a scout running around shooting crit rockets at everyone.
 
Here's a guy who somehow got the perma-uber, but just happened to get pegged to the ceiling by the engineer's sentry. He was quite trapped. He didn't switch to the sryringe gun to try to kill anyone, so maybe that's part of the bug?

You are correct. I won't go into detail, but you can't switch weapons once you've perma-ubered yourself.

It's easy to kill an exploiters perma-uber though. Just heal them. That's all it takes. Medpacks don't work, but your own medic gun will.

Is this actually happening, because I predicted it would be so.

Also someone mentioned a good point on another forum I go on. How do the class weapon unlocks affect the Spy's cloak? Problematic methinks.
 
I found how how to do this exploit. Suprisingly it's not the ubersaw that causes it. If someone on your team is doing this exploit, heal them to stop it.
