Changes to Team Fortress 2 have been released. Exploits, bugs, tweaks - Oh my!
  • Fixed Heavy minigun exploit
  • Team Goals panels stop appearing after you've played a map several times
  • At map time limit, Sudden Death now only kicks in if teams are drawn
  • Sudden Death only starts in CTF mode if both flags are at home
  • Team Fortress 2 stats are only gathered when playing a real game
  • Added the player class counts in the class selection dialog
  • Various fixes to localized text

Never before I saw such quick patching on a new game.
 
Wow, people don't even have time to properly whine in the forums any more. The patches are lightning quick!
 
LOL we should really start numbering these threads - there's so many of them it can be easy to lose track!
 
That's the power of Steam. ;)

Two big bugs fixed within a day of me hearing about them (Heavy exploit and CTF flags not respawning in bases at start of Sudden Death) and the other bug about being able to get achievements off-line (which I did NOT abuse, for the record) has also been fixed.
 
The only thing I don't like is how the class counter works now. It used to have a number above each character to tell you how many of that class is on your team but now it shows the characters in the bottom right corner and they don't all fit on the screen. There could be 16 players on my team and only 11 players would appear in the menu. :(
 
Still can't get Head of the Class Achievement.:frown:

Everytime I reset it goes back to 4/9.

Im not a fan of the new counter ether. Maybe a option would be cool.

On the other hand valve is pumping these out like crazy!

If you emptied your ammo, then kept the spinning going, and then picked up new ammo, you could get it so you could walk normal speed while firing, as opposed to a greatly reduced speed.

Heh. Well-exploited during that 24-hours, I imagine. :)
 
I actually only saw one guy doing it. He was on my team - at the start of the round he did it, then kept saying "Look what I can do, look what I can do." into the mic.

I finally asked him what he was doing and he explained that he could walk normal speed and shoot at the same time.

I said "Oh," and went about my business.


(my business includes lighting people on fire)
 
There was a Heavy exploit where you could run with the gun going spinning at the same time.
