EDIT: The teamspeak server we are currently using is 71.96.230.8:8767 In order to log into this, if you do not know... you go to www.goteamspeak.com and download the client for your operating system. You then install the program, and open it up. The first thing you should do is to browse the options(you're all intelligent, you can figure it out) and make sure your microphone speak is set to push key to speak, rather than voice activation. Then, go to connection, connect, right click on servers and add a new server. In the Label, put anything you want. In the Server address, put 71.96.230.8:8767, for nickname, put anything you want. Then log in.

So... who would be up to getting a teamspeak server set up, so we can all chat with each other and hang out using our own natural voices, rather than keystrokes?

If I ever got my FIOS internet connection, i'd be happy to set one up to be dedicated, but that doesn't seem to be panning out, since every neighborhood in my city has it except mine.

I prefer Ventrillo.

But, I have TS too, so either works.

It would have to be able to hold a lot of members... Everyone is going to want to go on.

And we'll have to kick those who don't talk.

We're going to have to take a vote... on whether we use TS or ventrilo. I prefer TS...

others prefer ventrilo.

Is tehre any program out there that combines the two? That lets the server be hosted on one program, but the clients can use a different program? That'd be SWEET. Since the internet is an entire ventrilo vs TS debate.

Well, it really isn't that hard to get Team Speak. We really need more people in here for it to function, because with 4 or so it wasn't very talkative.

We need to feel more comfortable with eachother I guess.

TS is a FAR better choice for handling public members and stuff.

And plus, the only two people who have servers, Raziaar and I, have TS servers.

Well I dont have a server... but I can create a server at any time, easily enough.

If there were 20+ odd people on TS it would be cool, but if 100s started coming on speaking from the forums, utter chaos would arise. It would have to be private etc really.
Don't just give the server n.o out publically in other words. But ei, I'll stop being negative now.

100's of people are NOT going to come on. Even now all we have is 4 or 5 guys on.

Too many people is the least of our problems. We are dying for more.

Never use the Voice Activation as this will mean everyone will hear your 'fap fap fapping' away. Set it to something neutral like Alt. Works for me

vent has a lower time delay, plus i can get on vent through my uni firewall and not TS as i found out today

People shouldn't be shy. If they want to talk, they should just talk.

As it is right now, its pretty quiet, but thats alright, if nobody wants to talk, we're not going to force you to. its there if you want it. I only wish we could get more people in there. And make it part of our community.
