I love that song, Mad World to death, but recently I heard new version of it on the radio. It is done without sometimes annoying 80s music instruments (you know what I am talking about, 80s had that weird electronic sound to it). Any idea who did it and WHERE can I download that one song? I just NEED to hear it again.

Mad world? Is that the song at the end of donnie darko? If so omg i love that song :)

Gary Jules and Micheal Andrews did it :)

I love it too, I nearly cry when I sing it... ;(

You could go listen to free clips on somewhere like cdnow.com, but as to where to download it I couldn't say. Have you googled for it? You may not find anywhere (legal) to download it. But if you do let us know! :)

Found it! God, much better than original. Beautiful song, ah...
Thanks guys :)

Where did you find it? Oh and does anyone knwo where i can find "killing in the name of" by rage against the machine? I really really want that song :)

The one they play on the radio contain drums, but the one from Donnie Darko doesn't and it's a hell of a lot more better! I hate those ass drums, because they're not needed!

Get donnie darko on DVD! Ive had it nearly a year now and have seen it several times! It still remains watchable to this day

The original song is by Tears For Fears, but the one in Donnie Darko is sung by someone named Gary Jules. That might explain some of the difficulty in finding it.

It has an alternate version too, which adds some slight orchestration in the background. It's not as obnoxious as most remixes too. It barely changes the song at all.

Like the film was supposed to have some sell by date or something?

Donnie Darko is a wicked film (my favourite 'indie' film infact) and I heard 'Mad World' off the back of that about a year and a half ago and its funny how that song has only finally become really popular.

It was one of the songs that inspired me to buy a piano infact. That and 'The Scientist', 'Clocks', 'Trouble' all by Coldplay.

I know what you mean, I nearly cry whenever I sing 'For those about to rock!'
