Tekken 5 artwork (o_o renders)

Holy...

They're quite good...

I bet those took up most of their resources though!

I guess the modellers are done with it so they were assigned with this kind of work.

That's some high res renders, made just for advertising. The game uses some models that are 1000x less detailed than that

That is true, Sparfa. PC's and Consoles can't handle models that detailed yet.

I wonder how they rendered it... Do they have special computers for that type of thing?

On a PC :P but it takes time to render. For instance, scene's in LOTR2 movie, i've heard if took a week to render just the scene where the Dam colapse's and washes away all the badies (if that's LOTR2 and not 3?).

Nah, I am pretty sure it does not take that mutch time ... prolly 5 tot 10 minutes (still far far away from realtime tho), I don't see any advance lichtsetups so I am sure its with the basic scanline render wich does not take alot of time.

are you joking?

no seriously are you?

it takes much MUCH longer than that to render something of that quality

That's because they render each frame separately. That's also why FMV's have no FPS stuttering ;) IIRC, it took about an hour per frame throughout the entire production of the Final Fantasy movie.

something about the japanese game developers is that they make everything whit a very good quality in almost all theyr games

and american and european developers should learn some litle tips from then

but are very good made and detailed models

Those models will most likely be used for the normal maps.

But yeah, incredible work, although I noticed a few flaws on the face of the first girl, not that that matters. Her boobies are realistic, anyway.

I was hoping for unrealistic boobies.. They seem to fit for this kind of game... But you can't have it all...
