Oh noes... I'm sure scared now!
...
I really don't see the point in that stupid little 'colorful terrorist terrorism be scared now stupid people thingy'...

Well it is news.. Once we all get blown up by evil suicidal hobbits, we'll definitely be worried.

What does it really do for people, though? What the Hell are they going to do? Leave the country? Don't get on airplanes? Don't go to New York or any other highly populated area? It's pointless and it will just agitate the agitation-prone.

I like riots over the end of the world.. But, yeah, whatever, you're right..
Just don't poop..

I live in NYC hahahah! Uh-oh! *runs and jumps in his fallout bunker*

omg....i say we all hid under our desks.... yes...who does use colors do termine the fear level

ooo orange, thats the half-life color... maybe its a sign.. YES ITS A SIGN! hl2 WILL MAKE the xmas release date w00h00!!!111one.

The reason they have the colour codes is so that they can express their worries in a way that they won't have to reveal any specifics and so that no one can say "you should have told us you were worried about something happening".

The color coded terror level alert thing is ridiculous. I have always disliked it since it's so ambiguous.

It has to be ambiguous since its taking a look at the threat of a terrorist attack as a whole to the U.S. They can't go out and say what they think is going to happen and where they think something will happen.

How else would you want them to warn you about how likely a terrorist attack is at a given time?

Haha we have bigger things to worry about then silly terrorists threats and boogyman with AK-47's.

This must have been like the 20th "orange" alert since Sept. 11. Haven't they ever heard the story of the boy who cried wolf?

doesnt mean the goverment is lying. maybe thier doing thier job. its a lose lose situation for our government, if nothing happens it looks like we dont know what were doing, or were lying. If we do get attacked, then all the credibility is lost. hence lose lose situation

waedoe, you're missing his point completely.

he's trying to say that if they keep giving out orange alerts and nothing happens, people won't take them seriously. he didn't accuse the government of lying...of course the alert level thing is used by the government to remind everyone that there are still possible threats and keep up the visibility of our efforts to prevent terrorism...but the system doesn't actually mean anything to the average person.

why can't they just rank them by number rather than colour? Orange level? Red level? what the hell, maybe just a higher number for higher alert? Just a thought... Also i dont see the point in it, what can u do? go buy gas masks and put some plastic on yur window?

lol, does that mean they know where they are?? does this mean they caught plans of terroisim. give me one good reason people. dont panic, one good reason why you should belive that you are under more threat now, (at high level) then you where before? because some guy on the news said so...? after all there little lies. Im thinking be cautious. but it may be stated to get people worried again, strengthening the belief in what Bush has set out to do. 'supress terroisim'.

Kick ass...........a new form of controle over the public!! Just what we've needed!!

lol. control through fear, right?... its got most of us so far. :p
