-Hello world, Ive joined Halflife2.net with hopes someone has had the same issue as me and would know whats happening with an issue Im having with Half-Life 2 (deus ex 2 and Medal of Honor Pacific Assault also)
-I would like to know how to fix an annoying problem where all the sudden textures on enemies become corrupt-textures on boats, trains, and vehicles look all screwed up-sometimes only untill I move in close. As they are scalling in they look very ill. (only textures that move are affected((trains, enemies, vehicles))). It happens after playing for about 10-25 minutes. If I switch resolution, or an advanced graphics setting, or wait till the game loads the next level, the textures correct themselves (they are re-loaded), only to screw up again in another 10-25 minutes. Ive tried several ATI drivers and they made it worse
-I had an ATI xtasy 9200SE 128MB PCI for a couple months, but sold it, and while and I dont remember having this problem at all, all my games ran slower and could use less graphic effects.
-Anyway, my games run quite fast with good framerate with most graphic effects cranked up (real-time shadows are a big problem and must always be turned off on all games)
I can deal with shadows off. I cannot deal with messed up textures.
-I tried returning my graphics card(ATI 9250 256MB PCI) for another brand new one (ATI 9250 256MB PCI) and it still does it. This is perhaps a driver issue but navigating ATI's web site is a freaking joke and I can't think of a web site that has frustrated me more in my entire life. The new driver they have up on thier site, and the driver they released before this made it a full time texture problem.
Help.
