TF2 and Steam Crashes

Since yesterday afternoon, whenever I start TF2 it sits on the loading screen for like 6 minutes and then crashes, along with steam. A microsoft error report thing pops up. I've done all the routine solution stuff.

Any ideas what might be the problem?

It's not a C++ memory allocation error, is it?

No. The error gives no information whatsoever.

you should probably send the .mdmp to steam support to see what the problem is.
