Lets hope so :) I laughed at the sarcasm, the implementation of facestabs will certainly add a new level of gameplay to L4D.
 
Yea, it's pretty ridiculous that they would advertise their own game on one of their own websites.
 
I saw the title and got excited about a Spy update. Obviously that was not the case but I did get a big lol out of it.

Well, it's not just an arbitrary plug, though. They were saying that TF2 news was quiet because the team was working on L4D. Makes total sense to mention it. A L4D screenshot does look out of place on a TF2 page, though.

edit: Oh, and Spy update would be awesome!

I was being sarcastic to brutally mock the post above mine. And yes, I feel a spy update incoming.

Ah yes. Surprised I misunderstood, considering that sarcasm is well-known to be easily and effectively communicated on message boards and email.

If you actually read my post I don't see how you could take at as anything but sarcasm, with the post before it it becomes even more obvious. And I don't know why you're upset, I was never insulting you.

I'm not at all upset, nor did I feel insulted. Now we'd better shut up or we'll keep misunderstanding each other.
 
I believe it will be both the spy and the demo released at the same time. Why else would they mention pipe?
 
"coming down the pipe" is a rather innocuous common phrase, unlike the title I find it hard to believe it's meant a clue that the Demoman is part of the next update.

The last year? Hmm, last has an S in it so that narrows it down to Scout, Soldier, Sniper and Spy... "working"? hmm, in Meet the Sniper he talked about his job on the phone.

Sniper must be next.

My guess is Demoman.

Engineer would be awesome as it is my favorite class. But I don't see that happening.
 
Because they said "coming down the pipe" or something like that and the post they had before this one was about the history of making the Demo.

Unless coming down the pipe could be a Mario reference....

Stickies are also called pipe bombs colloquially, when you are killed by a stickie, I think it says in the console or commands, that the entity is pipe_bomb.

Personally I think the 'Gentlemen' title indicates the spy more transparently, than the pipe reference.
 
That is a very thin connection there. Definitely Spy if this update is to indicate anything.
 
If the Spy and Demo don't get an update at the same time, I think it may be the Demo and Meet the Spy.
 
I thought the pipe bombs were the grenades from the standard grenade launcher? They are launched from a pipe, they're significantly more pipe-shaped than stickies...

Ahh well, I'd rather the spy had an update sooner than the demo anyway.
