TF2 Graphics Problem :\

Hey, um I have a problem with TeamFortress2; idk why it does this, but:

It starts up normally, and i can join servers, etc. but when i get in, some of the maps have "missing spots" on the graphics of the floors or some walls, and just appear as giant patches of blank, see thru nothingness. Its really hard to play like this

I've checked tons of support sites such as steam's tech support, and found nothing that helped. I tried reinstalling the game, reinstalling steam, and also reinstalling my graphics drivers

I have a ATI Radeon graphics card, and i have more than the recommended system req of orange box; i have directx 9.0 (or w/e is the most current one); and my ATI drivers are at a fairly current version

Any ideas?

I had this problem on one map. Not sure why it did it, but i turned off steam, restarted it updated and the problem went away. try deleting your clientregistry.blob in your steam directory and restart steam.

actually, i updated my drivers to current version even before installing Orange Box;

However, the updates just caused problems and errors when i tried running any of the Orange Box games.

soooo i looked up the problems online, and found out that i should get rid of one of the updates, and when I did Orange box games ran fine
....except for TF2's graphics thingys

uninstall drivers first before you install new ones imho.

I got problem wit some official drives. Problem was that I cannot launch any steam game in full screen so I downgraded my drivers and everything was fine
