TF2,ping and a help need.

I have a ridiculous problem with Team Fortress 2. The thing is, since I made format:c to my computer and reinstalled Orange box, TF2 has bugged. All the other games work greatly. Now, every time I play TF2, I join a server and it gives me some ludicrous ping numbers from 300-500. And the game never lags! And it always drops me from server because of too high ping. Now I cannot play my legally bought game? I have looked help from everywhere (googled and watched the first forum to pop out :>) and everywhere it speaks about weak hardware. But my computer ran TF2 great before this incident! It never lagged! So, what can you say?

1.I have a legal retail bought game.
2.I tried verifying cache.

Maybe... it's your internet? Try pinging Google. Go to your Start Menu, search/run "cmd" and hit Enter. Then type "ping google.com".

Yes, indeed it shows a 200 ping. Now I at least know what to do.
