TF2 trailers - Mysterious Medics

A step back in time, remember the old Team Fortress 2 Trailers, i was watching them today and I noticed a weird feature in Team Fortress 2 Trailer 2.


Its like a weird Medic standing there doing nothing, no weapons and is not moving, almost like the Civilian class. Heres 2 I've spotted.

This one, inside 2fort behind some crates.

And this one, randomly standing in the middle of the battle.

Did anyone else notice these, any clue why they are just standing there. Also, is it just me or do they seem to watch you as you go by.

Yeh, I know this has nothing to do with Modern TF2 and is not talking about an exploit or anything, I just think this is quite a humerous subject, has anyone else spotted these in the trailers? If so, please share (also share your views.)

I think when they made the early trailers they didn't have how the medic works finalised, so they were stuck in without any weapons, because Valve still hadn't decided what to give them yet.

its quite creepy when you just watch it without knowing the Medics are there. I just randomly paused it at Screeny 1 and I saw a medic behind a crate, I'd never seen it before, it freaked me out.

Originally I believe the medics were going to have syringes and other bits n pieces, but Valve stated they did a rehaul of the class completely. Due to the changes in this class, it's possible he just wasn't finished for the videos and they snuck him in there for comic value.

One persons waste of time is another's happiness! Just because you don't enjoy discussing these things doesn't mean it's not needed at all. That's like saying creating Sci-Fi novels is a waste of time because you don't enjoy it.
