That's it, I'm getting a new sound card

I currently have a Creative Audigy 2 NX. It's an external USB 'card' and I'm getting tired of it. It takes up too much desk space, it doesn't work in UT2004 unless I use software drivers, all the EAX/CMSS features sound awful, they want you to install endless programs along with the actual drivers...you get the idea. It is bearable and I'd use it if I had no other option, but needless to say I do have that other option.

I want a good sound card for a 2-speaker setup that isn't Creative and isn't external. Can anyone suggest anything?

y the frell didnt you but an audigy 2 zs they are only like 50 quid now and i have one and its briliant, sounds great cmss makes a big difference and eax works ineverything and best o f all hl2 scares eme pooless with mere headphones ( dad said no to 7.1 )

tbh u musta got a bloody good deal to get an extrenal one otherwise i dont really see the point in them :/ maybe im just weird

VERY nice budget card, Ive read reviews where it is actually Put up agains the audigy2 in terms of sound quality.
and its like 30$
i love mine, and i cant tell a difference between it and my freinds audigy2 zs

I have that sound card on my other PC and I really like that sound card. Quality is perfect. Like [w0f]Oblivion said, its impossible to tell the difference between the Santa Cruz and the Audigy 2 ZS.
