I think this is good, now there will be pretty much no LOGICAL reason to oppose the use of medical marijuana now that there's no cancer factor. Even though they couldve just eaten it to begin with.

People have different risks of such symptoms developing.

Just as some people are more likely to get cancer from smoking, whilst others will be fine. Some people have increased chance of getting schizophrenia from weed than others would.

I'd like to note I don't actually believe pot is a 'gateway drug'.

One theory that makes sense to me, postulated that nicotine is actually the archetypal gateway drug.

Anyway, I like the sound of the gum as I gave up ciggies last year and have been at loss for a healthy high (too lazy to bake).
Too bad the gum will probably have all of the "fun" chemistry taken out.

I'm failing to see why this is causing excitement. You won't just be able to get THC gum at the store along with your bananas and immodium. This will be done through some government distribution program for the next batch of people on a list about a thousand miles long. Furthermore, if you need medical cannabis, there are places in California and other states where it is legal for medicinal values that you can go to when you get a special card from your doctor. You show the card at the door, go in, and you have a stipend on the card exclusively for weed. There are jars everywhere and you just take your pick of what strain you want. Smoking, usually, is much better than ingestion highs unless you want to hang out and be retarded for like 8 hours. Smoking is better in my opinion because you get blazed for like an hour or two and then you can go about your day.
