The 3 versions of HL2?

So, I've finally decided to preorder HL2, but now I'm stuck! I disticntly remember that there are going to be 3 versions of HL2 coming out, so if I preordered, how would I know which version it is? Am I safe in assuming that the usual $50 version sold in major stores and over Steam is the one with single and mulitplayer?

You are safe mate, you pre orded from a site, so that means you have internet so there for you will get the Standard, if you ring and ask you could probably get a Special Edition, which im trying to do
