The argument from oranges

Ooh, I'd hate to be related to eggplant.

He's saying it like its funny, but its true. Those oranges are in fact related to everyone on the planet by a distant ancestor, probably a prokaryote.

Well we're related to everything on this planet, technically. What he's saying isn't particularly special.

AHAHAHAHA ITS FUNNY BECAUSE ITS TRUE

But really.

Maybe that once he's done with the orange argument, he can conduct a study about the correlation between intelligence and dumb Southern accents.

What was that he said about apples at the end? Sounded like "keep the apple in the hand of the classroom teacher, not the young."
Is that something to do with all that Adamneve shit?

I don't get it, is he trying to refute Evolution by declaring a known scientific fact?.

He's trying to disprove Evolution by appealing to people's idiocy.

well, it is true, if you went back far enough to the microbial era, then yes, we all are related to eachother. but it's just to far back for it to matter.

but the way the guy explained it was funny

I know, its sad the way people understand the conclusions of evolution, but not the process which makes these conclusions so.
