Watch the first trailer, called "Wii Trailer." If you think the video is the coolest thing ever, than you will love the Wii. If you think the video was the most retarded thing ever, than chances are the Wii isn't for you. As for me, I liked it, but I found it HILARIOUS.
 
That kid was a complete dork but I still want to play CoD3. I played it a little at Gamestop on 360 and I couldn't stand how it controlled. Control felt really loose compared to how I've gotten used to it in Halo 1 or now Gears.

I'll be getting it when I get Gamefly for a few months after Wii launch.
 
lol, yeah, graphics are pretty shitty... not even 'Cube quality in the "duel" scene at the end.

Looks like a hell of a good time to play though. I can't stand how fast and arcadey the campaign is on the 360, but it looks like the Wii controls will lend themselves to the game's frantic pace.

heh - looked good to me. I've never rated CoD, but if this gets ok reviews i'll give it a go.
 
Its nice to see that COD3 will fully utalize the controller. Still not interested enough to buy the console though.
 
Yeh, like rotating the cogs to set the angle for the Tank turret.
 
CoD3 isn't made by Infinity Ward...so the games not for me.
 
From that I can confirm that I won't be buying Call of Duty, or letting any one else in the room while I'm playing on the Wii for that matter.
 
Some of the actions did look a little silly. Aiming could be good, and using the controller to whack people looks fun, but the whole winding the turret down and grappling was pretty ropey.
 
I'm looking forward to Far Cry more than anything for the embarassing action stakes. To perform a "Feral Slash" you have to slash with the remote. The harder you perform the slash motion, the more harm it does. To perform a "Feral Throw" you perform a throwing motion. The harder you do it, the harder you throw the person/physics item you are holding.

Can you imagine feral running through the trees before feral jumping over a house, feral slashing as you fall taking out the guard. Acting all that out? :thumbs:

lol that guy was pretty retarded playing it but still COD3 looks amazing not because of the stale graphics but the gameplay. Nintendo is going to do what it can do best. I give them all my faith in their console.
 
Well, all Wii games deserve to be played naked at least once.

But I'm most certainly going to be acting out a helluva lot of scenarios.
 
anyone know if COD3 supports 480p or even 16:9? it would be great if it does at least 480p
 
First, I'm a graphics whore. I'm the person who would play a FPS @ 20FPS on high rather than 70FPS on low.

Now that I clarified that: you are not buying the Wii for next-gen graphics. You are buying it for the game play and features. Everyone that said the graphics are crappy, your argument is invalid (President of Asia, imo).
 
I like how CoD 3 looks on the Wii, it has what the original CoD had...and that was personality and a good feel. These "next-gen" graphics kinda sucked the life out of CoD :(
 
Like Zephos said, CoD 3 really has that original CoD look, and the original was my favorite. I think I'll definitely get this eventually. Looks like a lot of fun.
 
... Looks like COD1. The controller is cool I guess, but I am fine with a mouse. Not that impressed, the graphics were advertised as much better.

Who cares about graphics, seriously ... if you want a next-gen graphics fix, get a 360 or a PS3 and shut the hell up.

If you want to lose some weight / have a laugh with mates / experience a novel new way to control a game, buy a Wii. If you've got mates, you will not regret buying a Wii. End of argument.
 
Its really the horrible lighting that I think makes it look bad. Though the gameplay looks great.

I think will not go like "omfg retard!" while watching
sure they will go more like "heh thats looks funny" as nintendo planed

BTW I find the boat thing kind of unnecesary

also I hope you dont need special positions to use the controller

it will be cool if you hav to move the nunchaku thing like trowing it to trow the grenade
 
Apparently Nintendogs is coming out on the Wii. You have to strap the nunchunk onto your face with a special strap (supplied with the game), this acts as the dogs nose so you can go sniffing around, and stick the Wiimote up your ass so it can become a tail, allowing you to wag it when happy or put between you legs when sad.

The motion detectors can sense when you role over, or when a friend who's come round to play is sniffing your butt. The possibilites are endless!

I think people will look a little funny doing some of the motions (close combat, rowing, etc) but most of the time a player could just chill relaxed with hands on his/her legs without flailing about or having mini-hand-seizures when you fire a weapon.

That being said, I don't care if I look funny when I play my Wii. If I get self-conscious I'll just close the blinds.
 
Quite frankly, I don't care if I look like an idiot while playing it. People are far too self-conscious these days anyway.
 
We won't look like idiots (well...compared to people who play with the Eyetoy).
