Am I the only person who thinks that it's actually quite ugly? Although the whole Blue Peter factor of that thread is very amusing.

I came to this thread thinking there was going to be a disucssion about mods-in-progress for HL2. When I saw "blackmesa..." as a title for a piccy I got right excited I did.
I hope Valve still give away HL1 on the Source engine. That'd be hella kewl.

it may not be to your tastes, but you should still respect the fact the inredible attention to detail, and hard work put into such an item

plus, i think he did a great job of gettin it to look like his inpiration.
(the wall paper he posted in his thread)

basically he was going for the rusty look and did quite a good job of it

No. HL1's WIP port actually got stolen ALONG with what bit of HL2 got stolen.

Oh sure, all power to him and everything - it's impressive and I admire his dedication... to an extent.
But I still think it's extravagant and ugly.
