the big boxes....

ok, i know that this has been answered before, and i hate to ask it thus knowing, but how do you get those big boxes that surround models when you go away from them to go away? i couldnt think of anything to search the forums with but box or big and that doesn't work....the word is too small (whatever). so your help, and patience, would be appreciated. oh and tell me how to search them better if you know. thanks

edit. oh, i found it, sorry (tools, options, model view distance) damn me being lazy...
