Let's just say that I got curious after debating a very evasive supporter of it. How is the BNP viewed politically in Britain? Is it given any significant political validity in Britain's politics? I would really like some info from some of our resident Brits on the BNP. Anything you can give me that can give a perspective on them as a whole. I know they're crackpots, believe me, but as I said - I'd like to know more about them from a "resident" perspective.

They are seen as Nazis.

A lot of people on the bbc "Have your Say" say that they are going to vote BNP.

Yeah they are looked down on as being extremists. It's a small party but they get a lot of publicity.

A pretentious group of racist skinheads who use prejudice and stereotyping as the bulk of their political agenda, in an attempt to compensate for their incredibly small genitals. And that's just the Tories-

OH BUUUUURRRRRRRRNNNNNNNN :p

The BNP are a deeply respected and popular political party, riding
on a family values platform. Which aims to restore rational
thinking, pragmatic immigration policies, and respect for the
elderly among other deeply important issues.

It has garnered a lot of criticism from the left wing cesspool
of hate mongering degenerates. Despite that, they have managed to
capture the hearts and minds of many people seeking positive
political reform and hoping for a better and fairer future.

They are a proven racist party which uses fake propaganda to stir trouble and hatred. They also use getting England out of Europe to try to get more votes.

LOL what?

But for me a finge party that gain suppoorts for simply being a non mainstream party as the mainstream 3 are seen as the same/people voting for the BNP out of spite for the mainstream parties/labour really. Thats why I think people on HYS on the BBC say it really. I hope tbh

They're all skinheads and clueless racist businessmen, but they're anti-immigration so I back them 100%. Lets face it, nobody else is even trying to sort this country out. Most politicians think equal rights means all rights to immigrants and no rights to native folk.

/me does the hitler-walk out of the thread

I read one comment elsewhere about them. The poster's theory was that they move with the trend of fascism, meaning that back then, in the 40s and 60s, etc, it was fashionable to hate Jews, it's not any longer... They still do it, but much less. Now, like Nazis, they've piggybacked on the anti-Islamist bandwagon. Any merit to this theory? Because they haven't really denied their past, and they haven't, as far I know, apologized, either. They've only said that they they've ""cast off the leg-iron ... of anti-Semitism", but even today the party's leader is known for racist sentiment, anti-Semitic among some.

How can anyone see these guys as credible when looking at their past? They talk about how they've 'moved on', but they seem to have only switched their focus.

I think it really sucks that they're known for their anti-immigration laws, because a lot of people are against excess immigration into their country, and if they're the only ones promising a "pragmatic" plan to curb that, then that will garner them a lot of undeserved attention, in my opinion. And it's just so frustrating to see that among their constituency, there are actually many normal people whom I could never imagine supporting the "hidden" ideology of the BNP.

lol did you nick that from their site or something?

They're a bunch of racist ****heads. The leaders have been documented making racist jokes at party functions.

Theyre a bunch of Fascists, who shouldn't be allowed to stand, or even be allowed in this country. They're modern day Nazis, And who in there right mind would let people who deny the Holocaust, into Parliament??.

he's joking n00b

It's not even a good disguise.

"We're not racist, but all blacks should be forced to leave this country."

The British Ku Klux Klan.

I may hate what they say, but I'll defend their right to say it. They wouldn't get as much publicity as they do, if it wasn't for the left wing morons protesting at anything and everything they say.

The people who oppose the BNP are from across the political spectrum. The aim of anti-BNP groups is to stop them looking like a respectable party.

As opposed to the right wing morons voting for them.

This is probably true, but they somewhat achieve the opposite. The protesters generally act in an non-respectable way, thus making the BNP look more respectable.

This doesn't escape the idea that the left wing protesters are also morons.

In the 2005 UK general election, the BNP received 0.7% of the popular vote

I wouldn't worry about these fascist pricks ever having any sort of influence...
