"The Bridge" not loading

Hello, I understand this is a forum mainly for the Half Life 2 on PC, but I recently purchased the Orange Box for the Xbox 360. I am currently on the stage Highway 17, and when I enter the lower part of the bridge to enter the stage "The Bridge," a load screen appears, the load bar loads full, and then the screen turns black except for the aiming reticule and health/ammo indicators and the game reloads back to my current save. I cannot figure out why this is happening, and I am wondering if anybody knows what the problem is.

Mmm, not really well-versed in these things.

Is your 360 properly-cooled? The Bridge is quite graphically intensive.

I exhausted all of my ideas, so I just reverted to a save that I made an hour back and played back through. THANKFULLY it worked. I don't quite know what happened, but it sure was frustrating.
