I was thinking of maybe going to see The Butterfly Effect this weekend and I wanted to know if anyone else has seen it and what they think. I've read some reviews saying it was great and others saying it really sucked. So anyone thats seen it think I should or is it just a waste of money.

Oh, I thought you meant the actual Butterfly Effect, and not the film. Film? Never heard of it.

Ash-hole Kutcher is annoying, I don't really like him.

Well, I actually saw it unlike the rest of you I guess. The reviews were wrong, the movie is really good I thought. It had some really cool/freaky scenes, like this one with a baby...but I wont spoil it. I would just say see it and judge for yourself. Its worth the money and time.

When i saw the preview for it before RotK, I wondered how many people in the theater actually knew what the butterfly effect was. What about you guys?

dude, everyone and their gay lover knows what the butterfly effect is..

Isn't that where like if a butterfly flaps it's wings in China it causes a hurricane in Florida? (from Jurassic Park) (chaos theory)

Yep... that one.

The whole butterfly flapping it's wing is an example of it. What it boils down to is: One action having an infinite number of consiquences. This is the basic premis from the movie, from what I've heard. The guy goes back in time to save his gf from dieing and since he changed something now there are all these consiquences (aka the butterfly effect). The movie looked kinda interesting, I'd see it.

I think it's kinda funny that Ashton Kutcher is trying to be a dramatic actor. I really don't think I'm gonna be able to take that movie seriously.

staddydaddy is right. Movie is interesting and good, you dont have to take my word for it, btu I bet most of you would like it if you went in with an open mind.

My friends went to see it yesterday but I didn't go cause I wasn't in the mood to watch a movie.

I have heard that this movie is a very bad film and not worth the price of the ticket

wow, that's where i learned about it too. Jurassic Park is one of my favorite novels; I've probably read it at least three times....
As for the movie, I haven't seen it so I can't comment on it. It looked interesting but sometimes it's hard to tell whether it'd be good or not.

It's been recommended by several people I know.

go see it :p

i tend not to take what the reviews say seriously.. simply cause i have enjoyed movies than read a review and thought it was so wrong..

i saw the movie and liked it.. Aston actually acted quite well.. i didn't think he could play a serious role, but IMHO he did pull it off in this flick.
